To most people, the first sign of spring is birds returning north or new flowers blooming, but to a select group, it’s Frühlingfest, the Swiss-German Springfest, on May 17th in Pekin. Frühlingfest is a complete day of family, food, drink, and song – great German food and great German atmosphere, plus, admission is free!
You won’t need German as a second language as long as you know the basics: Beer, Schnitzel, Bratwurst, German Potato Salad, Pretzels, and Sauerkraut will help you navigate the menu.
