William Hodgson (15 Aug 1816 - 23 Nov 1906) first came to Tazewell County about 1832 with his father Amos.  He married Phebe Bennet (1820 - 1894) on 17 Dec 1835.

William & Phebe established a farm in Groveland Township and became very successful.

Both are buried in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, Illinois.
